SPINNING AN ECO-BRAND TALE

Giving Voice to an Organic Fashion Start-up

Leo Paper LogoWhen e&a met Sara Sumae of Spun, we instantly recognized the synergy. She wanted to provide women with organic fashion staples at a reasonable price, satisfying the need for style without compromising ethics.

This eco-conscious, women’s apparel start-up wanted to build brand awareness and offer interested retailers and customers access to the easy-to-wear basics. Spun’s need for the site was essential to their marketing plan, provided needed credibility to a new player in a busy vertical market. Also, key marketing opportunities were just weeks away and getting the site up in time was imperative.

e&a's approach to the site was to create a modern, sophisticated design that focused the attention where it should be: on the clothing. A seasonal look book puts photography at the forefront and provides a framework for featuring her two collections a year. Taking inspiration from Spun’s smart and stylish fashions, the site features a flexible and unobtrusive palette, which acts as a supporting character to the garments.

A mixture of subtle Flash elements and organically inspired motifs make the Spun site both elegant and contemporary all at once. This site was created to be easily updated and extensible for future ecommerce integration.

Limited brand assets and tight timeframes can prove to be a challenge for small businesses. Working with e&a a new businesses can be confident in having an experienced online marketing and web design firm to help provide needed project insight. Getting each website project to market in a timely fashion is at the core of each project’s success, but the quality of work transforms the little idea into a big opportunity.
